XIX International Conference of the Movement for the New Museology (MINOM) | II Latin American Chair of Museology and Cultural Heritage Management | I Latin American Day of Social Museology
National University of Colômbia Bogotá, November 27-30.
Under the title Museums, cultural rights and new citizenships: towards a radical democracy, the assembly of cultural heritage within the logic of the commons, the academic committee of the event, composed of professors Camilo de Mello Vasconcelos, Gabriela Aidar, Mario Chagas , Mario Moutinho, Marcelle Pereira, and whoever writes to him, we wanted to summon three conceptual currents: the social museology, the studies of the cultural accessibility and the paradigm of the theory of the common goods, with the double purpose of activating the most radical tradition museological thinking, and to explore new conceptualizations of the museum, that allow to account for the great challenges that this type of cultural institution has in face of the cynical strengthening of authoritarianism, anti-democratic thinking and all the destructive forms of economic exploitation of cultural heritage.
