Mario Nuno Bento Antas

Holds a PhD in Museology (with expertise in Educational Communication in museums). Currently, he works at the National Museum of Archaeology Lisbon, Portugal. He is also a board member of ICOM Portugal and European Coordinator of ICOM-CECA (International Council of Museums - Committee of Education and Cultural Action).
In 2012, Mário Antas won the award for Best Educational Practice in Museums by ICOM- CECA. He has been an invited expert for several seminars of the Council of Europe (History Education Unit General Directorate II, Democratic Citizenship and Participation, Education Department - Council of Europe) and for several European projects. He was the Portuguese team coordinator in the European project (financed by the EU Culture Programme) EUROVISION (Museums Exhibiting Europe). Currently he is the team coordinator of the National Museum of Archaeology in the EU-LAC Project (co financed by European Union) Museums and Community: Concepts, Experiences, and Sustainability in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
